The OPPO A78 5G has been launched in India. The 5G-ready midrange phone from the brand offers key features, such as a 90Hz display, Dimensity 700, a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup, and a big battery. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the A78.

The OPPO A78 5G has a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a teardrop notch. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen supports 96 percent NTSC color gamut, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 600 nits of brightness. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the OPPO A78 5G features the Dimensity 700 chipset. The phone comes in a single configuration that offers 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It offers up to 8 GB of virtual RAM.
The A78 5G houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC charging. The company claims that it can achieve a full charge in 67 minutes. It ships with the ColorOS 13-based Android 13 OS.
The A78 5G has an 8-megapixel camera for shooting selfies. On its back, it has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash. Other features of the A78 5G include Panda Glass protection for the display, a multi-cooling system for heat dissipation, face unlock, dual stereo speakers, dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
OPPO A78 5G price in India
The OPPO A78 5G has been launched with a price tag of Rs 18,999 (~$233). The device can now be pre-ordered through OPPO India’s website and Amazon India. It will go on sale in the country on Jan. 18. Buyers can purchase it in Glowing Black and Glowing Blue color options.
