In addition, Poco India is gearing up to hold a fan meetup event on Jan. 22 in Delhi, India. It appears that the Poco X5 series will break cover within a few days after the upcoming fan event.

Shown above is the banner for the next-generation X-series Poco phones that have surfaced on AliExpress. The “New Poco X series coming soon!” text is a good hint that the company may soon unveil the rumoured Poco X5 and X5 Pro in the global market. Unfortunately, the page has no information on the specs or key features of the X5 series.

The below-shown tweet confirms that Poco India will hold a meetup on Jan. 22 in Delhi. It is unclear whether the company will reveal any information about the X5 / X5 Pro at the meetup. Readers who wish to attend the fan meetup can register using this link.

Reports have revealed that the Poco X5 5G will be quite similar to the Redmi Note 12 5G. However, the X5 will have a redesigned rear panel and the Snapdragon 695. On the other hand, the Note 12 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip. The rest of the specs could be same the on both models.

The Poco X5 Pro 5G is said to be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed, which debuted in China recently. According to Xiaomiui, the device will come preloaded with the MIUI 14-based Android 12 OS.
