Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Watch4. The update bears the R860XXU1GWA3 build number and is just under 330MB in size. It brings several new features and improvements.
The biggest new feature from the update is the addition of camera zoom controls within the Camera Controller app on the watch. This feature allows users to zoom in and out of their photos and videos using the rotating bezel or pinch to zoom on the touchscreen. This feature is only available for supported flagship Samsung smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip or newer.
In addition to the camera zoom controls, the update also includes a new device diagnostic tool. This tool allows users to check their watch’s battery status and touchscreen function via their connected phone. This can be particularly useful for troubleshooting any issues that may arise with the watch.
The update also includes several stability fixes and performance improvements to ensure that the watch runs smoothly. This can include improvements to battery life, performance, and overall usability.
For Galaxy Watch4 users who would like to update their watch to the latest firmware version, head to the settings menu on your watch and check for updates. If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed automatically. It is important to make sure that your watch is connected to a Wi-Fi network and has enough battery life before starting the update process.
