Devices that get certified by the Bluetooth SIG authority are known to go official within a period of one month. The upcoming Oppo Pad 2 has been approved by the Bluetooth SIG. Hence, it appears that the tablet may go official at some point in February, at least in China.

The Oppo Pad 2 has been spotted with model number OPD2201 on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. The listing suggests that the device will come preloaded with ColorOS 13.1-based Android and support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Oppo’s sibling brand OnePlus will announce the OnePlus Pad on Feb. 7 in India. There is a possibility that the Oppo Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad could be identical devices. As compared to the original Oppo Pad that debuted in February 2022, the Pad 2 is expected to offer a better display, improved performance, and faster charging capabilities.

Reports have revealed that the Oppo Pad 2 may arrive with an 11.x-inch LCD panel that supports 2800 x 2000 pixels resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. The Pad 2 is expected to feature the Dimensity 9000 chipset and pack a 9,500mAh battery. The tablet may carry support for 67W fast charging.

The Pad 2’s design is said to be identical to the OnePlus Pad. It’s still not clear if it will have cellular connectivity since its predecessor didn’t. Hopefully, the upcoming reports will shed more details about Oppo’s upcoming tablet.

Oppo is expected to announce the Find X6, Find X6 Pro Snapdragon Edition, and Find X6 Pro Dimensity Edition in China in February. The same event could be used to unveil the Oppo Pad 2. Like its predecessor, it is expected to be priced at around ~$350 in the Chinese market. It is unclear whether the Pad 2 will be released in markets outside of China.
