Poco is gearing up to launch the Poco X5 series in India and other global markets on February 6. The OEM will initially bring two devices in the series – Poco X5 5G & Poco X5 Pro 5G. Ahead of the launch, almost all the details regarding the specifications and design of these devices have already surfaced. Now, the brand has started putting the stamp of confirmation on some of these details.

In a recent tweet, Poco India posted a promo video of the X5 Pro 5G, while confirming that the device will Indeed launch with the Snapdragon 778G chipset. Additionally, the 108MP primary camera has also been confirmed along with the 120Hz Xfinity AMOLED display.

The brand has also revealed the performance numbers of the Poco X5 Pro 5G by posting its AnTuTu score of 545,093 points. It has compared the performance of the device equipped with the Snapdragon 778G to other devices equipped with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1080 chip. This is definitely a shot at smartphones that have recently launched with the Dimensity 1080 SoC on board like the Realme 10 Pro series and the Redmi Note 12 Pro series.

In all honesty, the real performance gap is around 7%, which isn’t that significant in real-world scenarios. Moving on, tipster Paras Guglani has revealed the pricing of the Poco X5 Pro 5G 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration to ₹24,999. If this turns out to be true, the Poco X5 Pro 5G might become the most value-for-money device in the mid-range, not to mention the cheapest smartphone with the Snapdragon 778G processor on board. He states that the first sale of the device will kick off on Feb 11, after the price reveal on Feb 6. To know more about the X5 Pro 5G as well as the X5 5G, you can check out our previous coverage.
