Back in August 2021, Xiaomi launched a Japan-exclusive Redmi Note called Redmi Note 10 JE. The company hasn’t revealed the full form of JE but we believe that it stands for Japan Edition.

This device was released with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. It was updated to MIUI 13 based on Android 12 last year.

Now, the handset has started receiving the latest MIUI 14 software. The new system update also brings along Android 13.

According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomu has begun to roll out MIUI 14 update for the Redmi Note 10 JE in Japan. The fresh software update for the phone arrives with build number V14.0.4.0.TKRJPKD.

Apart from bringing Android 13, the latest update also bumps up the security patch level to December 2022, which is odd as we are currently in February. Either way, the update is only available for users part of the ‘Mi Pilot’ program.

The software build will be made available for the general public if there are no concerning bugs. We expect the full rollout to finish in about a month.

The Redmi Note 10 JE is an IP68-rated smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset. It is backed by a 4,800mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging. The rest of its specs are similar to the Redmi Note 10T 5G.

Hence, it arrives with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, a 48MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) triple camera system, an 8MP selfie camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, an IR blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
