The popularity of electric vehicles is rising in India, thanks to companies normalizing their prices and providing more options and features than ever before. They are great for intra-city travel while contributing to the health of the environment at the same time. Also, with rising fuel prices across the country, they are a viable option for daily commuters. Previously, Ola launched the S1 electric scooter in India last year. To cater to the needs of residents, the company is launching three new electric bikes in India.

Ola Electric Bike

The first bike is the ‘Out of the World’ model, which boasts a 174 km (~108 miles) range on a single charge, with a top speed of 110 kmph (~68 mph). It will feature top-of-the-line technology like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) for a seamless, safe riding experience. Priced at approximately Rs 1,50,000 (~$1818), this electric bike will offer unbeatable value for money.

The mid-range offering, the Ola Performax, will come in three variants. The entry-level variant has a range of 91 km (~56.5 miles) and a top speed of 93 kmph (~58mph), costing around Rs 1,05,000 (~$1273). The second variant offers a range of 133 km (~83 miles) and a top speed of 95 kmph (~59 mph), priced at Rs 1,15,000 (~$1394). The premium variant of the Performax boasts a range of 174 km (~108 miles) and a top speed of 95 kmph (~59 mph), with a price tag of Rs 1,25,000 (~$1515). This performance-focused bike will be packed with best-in-class features.

The Ola Ranger will be the most affordable electric bike in the lineup, with prices starting at Rs 85,000 (~$1030) and going up to Rs 1,05,000 (~$1273). This bike offers efficient performance across its three variants. The base model has a range of 80 km (~50 miles) and a top speed of 91 kmph (~57 mph). The mid variant offers a range of 117 km (~73 miles) and a top speed of 91 kmph (~57 mph), priced at Rs 95,000 (~$1152). The premium variant has a range of 153 km (~95 miles) and a top speed of 91 kmph (~57 mph).

While the launch date for Ola’s electric bikes in India has not been officially announced, the company has planned a big event for February 9th. The details of the event are yet to be disclosed, but the company promises to reveal the design of its first electric car and plans to launch at least one model for under Rs 10 lakh (~$12,122).
