OnePlus Ace 2 is scheduled to launch tomorrow (Feb. 7) in China. Reports have revealed that it will be largely similar to the OnePlus 11R 5G, which is debuting on the same day on the global market. A recent leak claimed that the Ace 2 would be equipped with the latest RAM technology. The OnePlus Ace 2 will have LPDDR5x RAM, the company confirmed today.

In comparison to the LPDDR5 RAM, the LPDDR5x RAM offers 33 percent faster performance. After the OnePlus 11 5G, the OnePlus Ace 2 is the only smartphone from the brand to feature LPDDR5x RAM.

OnePlus Ace 2 16GB RAM

The brand confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 2 will arrive in 12 GB and 16 GB RAM variants. So, this is an indirect confirmation that the Ace 2 won’t come with 8 GB of RAM. It is already known that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

Other reports have revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2 will have a 6.74-inch OLED display with curved edges. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will be integrated with a fingerprint sensor.  The Ace 2 will run on the Android 13 OS and ColorOS 13.

On the front, the Ace 2 is expected to feature a 16-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup will be headlined by an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera. It is likely to be paired with a 12-megapixel or 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Ace 2 will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging. The power management, it will come equipped with the SuperVOOC S chip. While there is no official word on the storage, there is a possibility that it will offer up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
