Earlier this week, tipster OnLeaks shared an image of the upcoming Realme GT 3’s retail box. It revealed that the device will support 240W fast charging. Now, the brand has officially confirmed that the Realme GT 3 will be unveiled this month (February) in the global market.
The poster released by the brand reveals that the Realme GT 3 will be “coming this month” and that it supports 240W charging, which is the industry’s fastest charging technology under the Type-C standard. The technology is worth showcasing at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 tech exhibition.
Today, Realme will unveil the Realme GT Neo 5 in China. The device will arrive in two battery variants. Its 5,000mAh battery variant will support 150W charging, whereas the one housing a 4,600mAh battery will support 240W charging. The other specifications are likely to remain the same on both models.
One of the attractions of the Realme GT Neo 5 is that it has a C-shaped RGB lighting unit on the back. The silhouette of the same sort of RGB light can be seen in the above teaser. This suggests that the Realme GT Neo 5 240W headed to China may get rebranded as the Realme GT 3 in the global market. Here is the look at the expected specifications of the GT Neo 5 240W.
Realme GT Neo 5 specifications (rumored)
The Realme GT Neo 5 will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will have a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The back panel of the phone also features an RGB lighting unit.
The GT Neo 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device will run on Android 13 and Realme UI 4.0. It will pack a 4,600mAh battery with 240W charging support.
