Utilizing its technology and algorithm to power the Cycle Tracking feature Health app, the Galaxy Watch5 series will prove to be greatly useful for charting menstrual cycles. This will enable the Galaxy Watch 5 series to go up against the Apple Watch series, which is undoubtedly the most popular smartwatch in the market right now.

Samsung’s advanced sensor technology includes the ground-breaking BioActive Sensor, ushering the next era of digital health monitoring. The new infrared temperature sensor tracks skin temperature changes as well as the menstrual cycle, offering a more detailed overview. The temperature sensor uses infrared technology for more accurate readings, even if there is a temperature change in the user’s surroundings or they move while sleeping.

The skin temperature-based cycle tracking capabilities will be available through the Samsung Health app on the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro within the second quarter in 32 markets. This is another demonstration of Samsung’s open collaboration philosophy with other industry leaders to create better health experiences, states Hon Pak, Vice President and Head of Digital Health Team, MX Business at Samsung Electronics.
