In the upcoming months, Sony will launch the WH-CH720N, its newest model of wireless headphones. These headphones are a brand-new addition to Sony’s already remarkable line of headphones and are ready to provide consumers with a superb audio experience and a variety of cutting-edge capabilities. The device will replace the current Sony WH-CH520N and make several upgrades in terms of specifications over the forerunner. The design of the latest model is lighter and comfier.

It has been previously rumoured that it will succeed the Sony WH-XB910N, but now it has been claimed untrue. The gadget will succeed the WH-CH520N. With extra padding around its earcups and under its headband than its predecessor, the WH-CH720N should be more pleasant to use. Additionally, the WH-CH720N weighs less than the WH-CH710N, which does, at 223 g. The WH-CH720N will weigh in just 192 g, or about a 16% weight reduction, according to MediaMarkt. But even with noise cancellation turned on, battery life is still 35 hours.

Additionally, Sony has improved the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity of the headphones to Bluetooth 5.2, which integrates DSEE upscaling and Bluetooth Multipoint. For comparison, the latter enables you to concurrently connect the WH-CH720N to two devices. A release date was not provided by MediaMarkt, but given that the headphones appeared on a retailer’s website with official photographs and specifications, we believe Sony will soon announce them. According to MediaMarkt’s listings, the WH-CH520 and the WH-CH720N will be differentiated by €89, with the latter costing €149.
