The Samsung Q995GC flagship soundbar has been unveiled in Germany. The premium soundbar is the first Samsung product to come with a built-in SmartThings hub. The soundbar will allow the user to control smart home devices with Amazon Alexa voice commands.
The Samsung Q995GC is an 11.4.2 channel soundbar with 11 channels, a subwoofer, and four speakers. The speakers radiate upwards and deliver a 360-degree audio experience. The soundbar is part of the Q-series Samsung lineup and features Q-Symphony technology for seamless synchronization of the soundbar with other speakers. This helps to optimize the sound from your TV across all the connected platforms. The new soundbar can access the TV’s Neural Processing Unit for enhanced speech clarity. The soundbar is compatible with Dolby Atmos and also features SpaceFit Sound Pro and Adaptive Sound 2.0.
The Game Mode Pro 2.0 helps to optimize the speaker for gaming by suppressing background noise. The soundbar also supports Apple AirPlay 2, so you can cast content using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
The soundbar will launch in Germany on March 14. Samsung has not released any pricing information yet for the Q995GC soundbar. The Samsung HW-Q990B/ZA is currently priced at around $1,500 in the US. There are no global availability details yet for the new Samsung soundbar. It is however expected to percolate to selected markets. Samsung will also unveil its 2023 lineup of new TVs during the March 14 launch event.
