Back in December 2022, Nubia debuted the Z50 series with the launch of the Nubia Z50 in China. This smartphone is currently the sole entry in the series, however, the brand is also gearing up to launch a new model called the Nubia Z50 Ultra.

The Z50 Ultra has already made appearance on TENAA, and was also spotted in a recent live image. Now, the brand has officially started teasing the smartphone, revealing its design, details and information regarding the launch. First up, the smartphone is officially set to launch on March 7 2023, at 2 PM CST.

The official teaser images reveal that the smartphone has a boxy design with super thin bezels for its flat display. All sides, along with the back are also flat. The most notable thing about this smartphone is that it features an under-display camera which effectively removes the need of a camera notch or punch hole. Overall, the aesthetics of the smartphone reminds of the recently launched Red Magic 8 Pro.

The brand claims that the new “Neovision” under display camera onboard the is the result of six years of polishing the technology, and has fully improved selfie and video call quality. The display for the device has been developed in partnership with BOE. Additionally, the teaser reveals that the smartphone will have a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Other details about the device are still under wraps, however, previous leaks have mentioned that the Nubia Z50 Ultra will feature a 2K resolution display with a second-gen display chip, a periscope zoom camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. More information will likely emerge as we get closer to the official launch, so stay tuned.
