OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 11R in the global market. The same device was rebranded as the OnePlus Ace 2 for China. Now, the brand is gearing up to make another addition to the Ace lineup in its domestic market called the OnePlus Ace 2V. OnePlus has set the launch for March 7 and has already confirmed many features on the Ace V2 via teasers. Here’s everything that’s known about the device so far.

Design & display

Starting off, multiple teasers have revealed that the OnePlus Ace V2 will feature a boxy design with flat edges. The brand has revealed that these edges will be made of high quality aluminium that’s usually found on flagship smartphones. The back panel will also be flat and house a triple camera setup located on two circular camera islands. This camera design has previously appeared on multiple devices including the OnePlus Nord 2T and Realme 10 series.

The front of the device will have a flat OLED display that measures 6.74 inches and offers a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 10-bit colors. It also features high-frequency PWM dimming, a brightness of 1450 nits, and HDR 10+ for improved image quality. It will have a centered punch hole for the front camera. The bezels surrounding the device are revealed to be super thin and even. The phone will also include the popular notification slider on the side of the smartphone.

Performance

The brand has also released additional information about the Ace 2V, stating that it will be powered by a Dimensity 9000 chipset and will come with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Dimensity 9000 processor will have eight cores, including a 3.05GHz Cortex-X2 core, three 2.85GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and four 1.80GHz Cortex-A510 cores. The phone will also have an integrated Mali G710 GPU to manage its graphics processing. It will be offered in two configurations, one with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and another with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The device will support high frame rates of 120fps in “League of Legends” and 90fps in “Game for Peace,” and will also feature game cloud computing technology to enhance the overall gaming experience. The device has already appeared on Geekbench and AnTuTu benchmark websites revealing the performance of the device.

A large 5,000mAh battery will supply power to the device, and it will feature 80W fast charging to quickly top up the battery whenever you are running low.

Cameras

The OnePlus Ace 2V is anticipated to feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, along with a triple camera system on the back. The rear camera setup is said to include a 64-megapixel primary lens with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Other than that, the device is confirmed to come in Green and Black color options.
