Nubia is set to launch the Z50 Ultra in a few hours from now. The brand has been teasing the features of its latest flagship smartphone for the last few days.
Just a day ahead of the product’s debut, the company talked about the software on the device earlier today. It revealed some interesting details. Let’s go through them.
The Nubia Z50 Ultra has been confirmed to ship with MyOS 13. Though the company does not mention it, the software is most likely based on Android 13.
Nubia claims that the software on its premium phone will lack unnecessary things. Users will have granular controls over permissions. Thus, users will be able to avoid pop-up advertisements.
Fascinatingly, users will be able to uninstall more system apps than ever before. In fact, the number of uninstallable system apps is just 8, which is the same as on MIUI 14 (China ROM).
Apart from Settings, Phone, Contacts, Messages, Camera, File Manager, Browser, and App Store, users of Nubia Z50 Ultra can remove all other applications on their handset.
Therefore, Nubia touts its MyOS 13 Android skin as a pure system. Apart from light software, the Z50 Ultra also packs high-end hardware.
The smartphone offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset, a 4th gen under-display camera, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, a 6.8-inch 2K OLED display, a triple camera system including a periscope lens, and a 5,000mAh battery.
