The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given its approval to a new Redmi phone with the model number 2303ERA42L. The listing has revealed a few key details about the smartphone. However, there is no word on its final marketing name.

The FCC certification reveals that the Redmi 2303ERA42L is a 4G smartphone. It will come with support for other connectivity features, such as Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM.

The listing also mentions that the device may arrive in two options when it goes official, such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The device will come preloaded with MIUI 14.

One of the FCC documents states that “the subject device of this application (Model: 2303ERA42L, FCC ID: 2AFZZRA42L) is electrically identical to the reference device (Model: 2201117SL, FCC ID: 2AFZZ117SL).” To recall, the 2AFZZ117SL device is the Redmi Note 11S, which debuted last year.

There is a possibility that the 2303ERA42L Redmi could be the Redmi Note 12S, which is expected to arrive with a MediaTek chip. Before drawing any conclusions, it is advisable to wait for further reports to learn more about the 2303ERA42L device.

At the same time, Redmi is getting ready to launch a bunch of new phones in Europe. The company is expected to announce smartphones, such as the Redmi A2, Redmi 12C, Redmi Note 12 4G, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. Except for the Redmi A2 and Note 12 4G, all the other phones have launched in some other markets. The A2 will be an entry-level offering powered by the Helio G36 chipset, whereas the Note 12 4G will come equipped with the Snapdragon 680 chip.
