ASUS is tipped to launch the ROG Phone 7 soon. The lineup will likely comprise the ROG Phone 7, 7D, and 7 Ultimate. Now the ROG Phone 7D has made its appearance on the Geekbench database. It reveals key specifications of the device. The upcoming offering is expected to arrive as the successor to the last year’s ROG Phone 6D. 

As per the benchmarking platform, the ASUS ROG Phone 7D is listed with model number AI_2205D. The listing reveals the motherboard codename ‘kalama’ which corresponds to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The chipset comprises eight total cores with three cores clocked at 2.02GHz, four cores at 2.80GHz, and a primary core ticking at 3.19GHz. The smartphone will pack 16GB RAM onboard and we can expect more options at launch. As per the benchmark database, the ROG Phone 7D will ship with Android 13 OS out of the box. 

The ASUS ROG Phone 7D scores 2,012 and 5,697 points in the Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests results. 

As per past report, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series is tipped to feature an AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The regular and ultimate variants are also expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The former will pack up to 256GB storage whereas the latter will reportedly max out at 512GB. The ROG Phone 7 series is slated to debut in the third quarter of 2022 i.e. between July to September.
