Telegram, one of the world’s most popular messaging apps, has released a new update that includes various enhancements and new features for its users. One of the update’s highlights is a new Power Saving mode that helps Android users to manage the performance and battery life of the application in their smartphone. This feature would help users with a less powerful smartphone or someone who is dealing with battery-draining issues.
Users can use the Power Saving mode to change settings such as autoplay animations, effects, and background updates. Users can also customize it to switch on automatically when the battery reaches a certain percentage. The mode is particularly beneficial for lower-end Android smartphones that may struggle with Telegram’s rich media and animations.
The Power Saving option can lower CPU utilisation by up to 40% and RAM usage by up to 30%, according to a blog post from Telegram. Users of Android devices may experience improved performance and better battery life as a result. You can enter the mode by going to Settings > Power Saving.
Along with the Power Saving mode, Telegram has also added new animated emoji, granular playback speed options for voice messages and videos, read time indicators for small groups, auto-send invite links for contacts who join Telegram, dynamic sticker pack order based on usage frequency, translated bot descriptions in various languages, improved iOS folder support, and more. Users of Android and iOS can get the most recent update from their respective app stores.
