The DualSense controllers that launched with the Sony PlayStation 5 was widely considering to be one of the best ever controllers on gaming consoles. However, despite its praises, it still had some fair share of its own issues with an annoying one being the lack of wireless software update support. But it appears that one of the latest updates have seemingly fixed this.

In the recent past, one would basically have to plug in their DualSense controllers to update it. But now, it appears that the Japanese tech giant has found a work around for this and the controllers now support being updated wirelessly. This was a major complaints for a number of PS5 users, so it is a welcomed quality of life upgrade. So you don’t need to worry about needing wires over the various firmware updates that Sony constantly rolls out.

For those unaware, the company often releases software update for its PlayStation 5 console with various and improvements. This was also reflected on the updates for the DualSense controllers. Thus, one needed to rely on a USB cable to update their controllers. Interestingly enough, Sony’s rival Microsoft had also recently updated its own controllers to allow users to sell Xbox controllers wirelessly.

So, it means that Sony is paying attention to its customer base and their feedback. Notably, this change arrived in the major software update for the PS5 that the company recently released, which brought various improvements as well as support for the popular VoIP app that is beloved by gamers called Discord.
