BYD will reveal its latest self-developed technology ‘Yunnian’ on April 10. The Chinese multinational technology company that primarily operates in the automobile industry is on a roll as it is releasing new technologies one after the other.

This year in January, BYD released the e⁴ technology and now has issued the invitation for launching another new tech. As per the invitation, the company will be launching a new system called “Yunnian” (云辇) on April 10th, during an event taking place at their global headquarters in Shenzhen from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM local time.

The company has not provided any information on the upcoming technology but just stated that the technology will play a vital role in the intelligent integration of NEVs in the vertical direction.

BYD applied for the ‘Yunian’ trademark in January itself and this month in a Weibo post, the company hinted that the new technology would help to increase stability and on-road driving comfort.  The Invitation poster also hints at the application of the new technology.  It’s worth noting that the upcoming system to be launched by BYD on April 10th is named “Yunnian” (云辇) and includes the Chinese characters.”辇” which is uncommon and typically denotes the vehicle that was historically used by emperors and the character “云” which means cloud. This means the new technology will convert your vehicle into an emperor’s chariot.
