AYANEO has released its latest gaming handheld, the Air Plus and it comes with AMD and Intel processor options. The AYANEO Air Plus gaming handheld features a 6-inch IPS display, hall-effect joysticks, front-firing speakers, and a 46.2Wh battery.
The Air Plus is entering the market one year after AYANEO announced the model. Since the announcement of the gaming handheld, its processor options have been modified as well as its pricing.
The Air Plus was offered in a limited-number Core i3-1215U and AMD Ryzen 3 7320U options that sold out quickly for $270. Up to 8GB of RAM and storage of 128GB were available in the gaming handheld. The company has also provided perspective on its decision on price increment in its Indiegogo campaign. The Air Plus now starts on Indiegogo at $499 with the AMD Ryzen 3 73200U, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.
AYA NEO says there is no difference between the Air Plus and Air Plus Advance but the latter model has an additional FPC cable. The Advance moniker however refers to the estimated shipment date of the model which comes slightly earlier than the regular model.
The AYA NEO Air Plus Advance will ship by April while the regular units will be shipped by May. It is also noted that all non-AMD Ryzen 6800U models will not ship before June. The Air Plus weighs 525g and falls in between the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck.
