Motorola has debuted the Edge 40 Pro in the European markets. It arrives as the successor to the Edge 30 Pro. The device is a rebadged version of the Moto X40 that was announced in China last December. The Edge 40 Pro is a flagship in every sense packing top-of-the-line specifications. Moto X40

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display bearing a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and FHD+ resolution. It has curved edges and the screen is shielded by Gorilla Glass Victus. The device features a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and there is an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a slim profile measuring 8.6mm thick. It is IP68-certified dust and water-resistant. The back panel has a squarish camera module. 

On the optics front, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro sports triple rear cameras. The setup comprises a main 1/1.55-inch main 50MP sensor paired with OIS support, a 1/1.22-inch 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 117-degree FoV, and a 12MP telephoto unit. Up front, the device has a 60MP selfie snapper. The smartphone is capable of recording up to 8K videos through the rear camera and 4K videos from the front snapper.

Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chipset is paired with a 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. The device is backed by a 4,600mAh battery unit with support for 125W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging respectively. Software-wise, the smartphone runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro carries a price tag of €899.99 in Europe for the sole 12GB + 256GB variant. It is offered in Blue and Black colors and can be purchased in Europe in the coming days. The exact availability and pricing will vary depending on the markets.
