Vivo is set to launch the Vivo X Fold 2 in China on April 20th. It will debut as the successor to the X Fold. Now ahead of the launch, the upcoming offering has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform. It reveals key specifications of the foldable phone.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is listed with model number V2266A on the Geekbench database. The listing reveals a motherboard codenamed ‘kalama’ and it comprises three cores at 2.2GHz, four cores at 2.8GHz, and 1 core at 3.19GHz. The setup and motherboard codename corresponds to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This also suggests that the Vivo X Fold 2 will be the first foldable to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest-generation flagship processor. As per the listing, the device will pack 12GB RAM and we can expect more variants at launch. It will run on Android 13 OS out of the box.

In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core test results, the Vivo X Fold 2 scores 1,808 and 5,050 points respectively. Apart from this, the benchmark database does not reveal any additional details.

The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to come with 6.5 and 8.3-inch interior and exterior screens respectively with 120Hz refresh rates and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. The foldable phone will reportedly be backed by a 4,800mAh battery unit with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The circular camera island on the back panel is tipped to comprise a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP telephoto lens. Both the interior and exterior screens are expected to have a 16MP selfie snapper.
