Xiaomi has recently confirmed the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra flagship smartphone. The device will be debuting in China on April 18. Ahead of the launch, the device has been spotted in the hands of Leica’s CEO Matthias Harsch.
A recent social media post by Leica’s mobile business vice president Marius Eschweiler revealed that he visited Xiaomi HQ in Beijing along with Leica’s CEO Matthias Harsch to meet with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun to discuss their strategic cooperation in mobile imaging and future R&D plans.
Based on the pictures of their meeting, it appears that Leica CEO Matthias Harsch is holding a new green phone with a substantial rear lens module that protrudes prominently. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s back panel has curved edges. According to notable tipster DCS, this is the olive-colored edition of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

In previous collaborations, Leica has contributed to producing some of the most advanced smartphone camera systems of their time, such as the Huawei P50 Pro.
