Xiaomi has launched a new TV box or the European market. The Xiaomi TV Box S (2nd Gen), as it is called, is now available for purchase in the UK and EU via AliExpress. This 4K Ultra HD Streaming Media Player offers an unparalleled viewing experience, supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+ visual formats, as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD audio technology.
Compared to the previous model, the new streaming hub features Google TV, providing access to streaming services such as Disney+ and Apple TV, and enabling you to share content from your smartphone to the TV via Chromecast. The new TV box also features a compact design measuring 95 x 95 x 17 mm. It also comes with an IR remote with dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, as well as Google Assistant voice commands to find content or control linked smart home devices.
The Xiaomi TV Box S (2nd Gen) is equipped with a more powerful quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU paired with 2GB RAM while there is 8GB storage. The device also supports Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, offering seamless streaming and connectivity. Additionally, the device has built-in HDMI 2.1 and USB 2.0 ports for easy integration with other devices.
As for the price, the Xiaomi TV Box S (2nd Gen) is available at a discounted price of £50.49 or €67.73, with an MSRP of £100.99 or €135.47. While the product ships from China, Xiaomi has scheduled delivery to the UK for the middle of May. Also, the product will soon be available directly from Xiaomi’s physical and online stores.
