As the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is set to make waves in the smartphone market with its advanced camera system, a recent teaser by the company suggests an innovative accessory that could redefine smartphone photography. A camera grip unveiled in a Weibo post by Xiaomi CEO and Founder, Lei Jun, may allow users to experience the Xiaomi 13 Ultra as a more ergonomic point-and-shoot camera alternative.
Xiaomi has consistently pushed the envelope in smartphone photography, and the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra aims to continue that legacy. Boasting a remarkable camera setup, the device is expected to feature four 50MP rear cameras, including a standout 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with a variable aperture.
Adding to the excitement, Xiaomi has now hinted at an inventive camera grip accessory. Though there’s a possibility that the Weibo post could be a creative marketing tactic, Lei Jun’s post suggests that the accessory is designed to enhance the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera-like appearance and functionality. The grip seems to feature a dedicated shutter button, further streamlining the photography experience.
