Honor is reportedly working on the Honor 90 series of smartphones. Some reports have claimed that the Honor 90 lineup will be announced in May and made available for purchase just in time for China’s 618 (June 18) online shopping festival. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared key details of what appears to be the Honor 90 Pro.

According to the tipster, the topmost model in the Honor 90 series, which appears to be the Honor 90 Pro, will have the same core specifications as the predecessor model, the Honor 80 Pro. The 80 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The same chip is likely to power the Honor 90 Pro.

The leak further states that the alleged Honor 90 Pro’s screen will support a 1.5K resolution and high-frequency dimming. As far as the display design is concerned, it will have curved edges and a cutout for housing dual front-facing cameras. It appears that the smartphone may retain the Honor 80 Pro’s 6.78-inch OLED that offers an FHD+ resolution of 1224 x 2700 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

DCS also said that the Honor 90 Pro will have a SK5HP3 main camera, which will capture slightly enhanced photos than before. To recall, the Honor 80 Pro came equipped with a 160-megapixel primary camera. It is nothing but a custom version of the 200-megapixel Samsung SK5HP3 camera sensor. It is likely that the Honor 90 Pro will continue to feature the same 160-megapixel primary camera.

The other details of the Honor 90 Pro are yet to be revealed. The tipster claimed that it will be inferior to the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC.
