Barely a day after the official unveiling of the Vivo X Fold2 in China, a teardown video of the smartphone has surfaced. The teardown video of the X Fold2 shows all the major components of the smartphone. The teardown video was shared by WekiHome and the video is quite detailed.

The vivo X Fold2 is yet to make its way to overseas markets but already a detailed video of its internals is now available. The X Fold2 disassembly video was about 12 minutes long and also included some benchmark tests for the device, as well as some camera samples. The new smartphone’s hinge mechanism was displayed during the video. The X Fold2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and it performed well during the performance test. Its large copper alloy VC sink was effective in optimal heat management.

The X Fold2 has an 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel delivers an aspect ratio of 4:3.55 and the new droplet-style hinge system is lighter and more durable than its predecessors – the X Fold and X Fold+. It also has a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smaller screen has an aspect ratio of 21:9 and both panels feature 16MP front-facing cameras. The vivo X Fold2 is 30g lighter and 1.5mm slimmer than its predecessor.

The Vivo X Fold2 supported up to 108W fast charging and it took just 27 minutes to fully charge the phone. The nominal wired charging capacity of the model is 120W and its reworked hinge mechanism is a major improvement. The video is originally in Chinese but other users can enable closed captions and auto-translate to get the details of the content. The vivo X Fold2 and X Flip were unveiled with the Snapdragon 8 series chipsets and Zeiss cameras.
