MINISFORUM, a well-known brand in the mini-PC market, has recently announced its latest product, the B550 Pro. This mini-PC, which is part of the company’s Uranus series, promises to deliver impressive performance and versatile expansion options for users seeking a compact, yet powerful desktop PC.
Measuring at 168.7 x 159.7 x 67 mm, the B550 Pro features an SFX PSU, as well as PCIe 3.0 x16 and PCIe 3.0 x4 slots. The PCIe 3.0 x16 slot can be used for installing a graphics card, while the PCIe 3.0 x4 slot is intended for network card or SSD expansion, making it easy to expand the mini-PC to create a quasi-gaming PC experience.
MINISFORUM has stated that the B550 Pro is capable of supporting various AMD Ryzen 5000 processors, up to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, an 8-core Vermeer part with a 105 W TDP and 96 MB of 3D V-Cache. This ensures that the mini-PC will deliver decent performance in its own right.
In terms of connectivity, the B550 Pro comes with a range of ports, including DisplayPort, HDMI, USB Type-C, and several USB 3.2 Type-A connections. The mini-PC also features two M.2 drive slots, along with a 2.5-inch bay and dual-channel SODIMM banks for DDR4 RAM.
