Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its new E-Class sedan, which has undergone significant changes in appearance, interior, and power. The new car boasts a three-dimensional star-ring grille that echoes the brand-new daytime running lights. It also features a black high-gloss decorative panel that complements the grille design elements of Mercedes-Benz pure electric models, reflecting the concept of the new E-class car embracing electrification. In addition, the car is equipped with a hidden door handle derived from the S-class car, which optimizes aerodynamics with a simplified design, bringing the drag coefficient of the whole vehicle as low as 0.23.

The New E-Class has a 4-Cylinder Turbocharged Engine

The intelligent configuration of the new E-class car has been comprehensively improved. It is the first to be equipped with the third-generation MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system with a three-screen center console layout. It is the predecessor of Mercedes-Benz’s own software system MB.OS operating system. The new E-class car also supports digital car keys, and car owners can open or close the car using only a smartphone. The all-new E-Class is equipped with a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with an ISG intelligent motor system and a hybrid drive unit, realizing the full electrification of the power system.

The plug-in hybrid model is equipped with the fourth-generation plug-in hybrid technology. Its battery capacity reaches 25.4 kWh. The battery is charged from 0% to 100%, and the car can also be equipped with an AIRMATIC system with Adaptive Continuously Adjustable Damping System Plus (ADS+) and a rear-wheel active steering system, taking into account driving comfort and agile handling. The new domestically produced long-wheelbase E-class sedan is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2023 and mass-produced and launched in November. With its impressive features, the new E-Class promises to deliver a thrilling driving experience for car enthusiasts.
