Activision is no stranger to featuring celebrities as playable characters in their games. Just last year, they released a bundle in Call of Duty that included a renowned athlete, Leo Messi, in collaboration with the FIFA World Cup. Additionally, the brand has previously included special characters from movies and other forms of media. Excitingly, it has now been confirmed that a new operator, in the form of Phoenix Suns basketball star Kevin Durant, will be joining Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
“Easy Money Sniper” is drafted to CoD
As announced by the Call of Duty official handle on Twitter, Kevin Durant, known as “easymoneysniper” on Instagram, will be introduced as an Operator skin in Season 03 Reloaded of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. The Phoenix Suns forward’s operator skin and bundle should be available via the CoD store after the upcoming Season Reloaded update, which could arrive on May 17.

In addition to the character, the bundle will feature weapon skins that pay homage to Durant’s nicknames, “easymoneysniper” and “Slim Reaper.” It will also include a finishing move called “deadly from downtown,” a weapon charm resembling a basketball, a loading screen titled “ankle-breaker,” a sticker depicting a basketball hoop, and an Animated Emblem known as “KD baller.”
As mentioned, CoD already has some interesting licensed celebrity crossovers. These include Rambo, John McClane, Snoop Dogg, and a bunch of football players. Moreover, the Armored Titan from the popular anime series Attack on Titan has also made an impressive appearance, allowing players to take control of this formidable character. Fortnite, much like CoD, has also gained a reputation for adding characters from movies and other media. In the recent development, Fortnite players are wielding lightsabers from Star Wars, and let us tell you, the experience is undeniably exhilarating.
