Chinese smartphone brand iQOO has announced that it will be launching its highly anticipated Neo 8 series and its first-ever Android tablet, the iQOO Pad, in China. The launch event is scheduled for May 23, with the company expected to confirm the exact launch date on May 10.

According to leaked images shared by tipster Panda is Bald, the Neo 8 series will comprise two premium smartphones, the Neo 8 and the Neo 8 Pro. The Neo 8 Pro is expected to feature the new MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, while the Neo 8 5G is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The Neo 8 Pro boasts an impressive 120W fast charging support, a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP 1/1.5-inch primary camera with OIS support. The phone will be powered by an Android 13 operating system and a 5000mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Neo 8 is expected to have similar specifications, including a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution, a 5000mAh battery, and 120W fast charging support. However, details about the phone’s other features remain unknown.

Vivo Pad 2

The iQOO Pad is also set to launch alongside the Neo 8 series, but details about the tablet are scarce. However, there is a high chance that it could turn out to be a rebranded Vivo Pad 2 tablet that was recently launched in China.
