Samsung has recently released the May 2023 security update for its Galaxy S21 FE, bringing the latest security features and improvements to the smartphone. The update has already started rolling out in some Latin American countries and is expected to expand to more regions worldwide by the end of this month.

The new security patch includes fixes for over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones, making the Galaxy S21 FE more secure and reliable for users. The update bumps up the phone’s firmware version to G990EXXS5EWD4, and users can install it by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and Install.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE last year with Android 12 onboard, and the smartphone has already received the Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update towards the end of 2023 and the One UI 5.1 update a few months back. The device is also expected to receive three more major Android OS updates in the future – Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16, making it a long-term investment for users.

The Galaxy S21 FE is known for its excellent features, including a 6.4-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display, a 32MP front-facing camera, and a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 12MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 2100 processor and comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. It also features a 4500mAh battery and supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
