Dell has recently introduced the UltraSharp 38 (U3824DW) in the US and Canada, following the launch of the UltraSharp U3224KB, which features a 6K resolution and a 4K HDR webcam. The Dell UltraSharp 38 is a large WQHD+ monitor designed for individuals in need of a color-accurate display for creative tasks, multitasking, and media consumption.

The UltraSharp 38 is the brand’s latest curved monitor, which claims to be the world’s first 37.5-inch and WQHD+ monitor with IPS Black technology. The IPS panel is capable of delivering a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² peak brightness, and 98% DCI-P3 color space coverage, ensuring an immersive and vivid visual experience.

With a 3,840 x 1,600-pixel native resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio, the monitor promises stunning image quality, with 100% coverage of the sRGB color space as well as the Display P3 color space. The UltraSharp 38 boasts a 5 ms response time and a 60 Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for work and entertainment.

Dell has equipped the UltraSharp 38 with an adjustable stand that can be rotated by +/-30 degrees, raised by up to 120 mm, and tilted by (-5°/+21°), providing flexibility and comfort for users. The monitor also features VESA mounting holes, enabling it to easily be mounted on a wall or a monitor arm.

The UltraSharp 38 comes with a range of connectivity options, including 1x 3.5 mm line-out, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 TMDS, 1x RJ45 2.5 Gigabit, 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, 4x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A downstream, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C downstream, 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C upstream, and 1x USB Type-C upstream. Additionally, it features a built-in KVM switch and stereo 9 W speakers.

Price & availability

The UltraSharp 38 (U3824DW) will be available from June 22 in North America, priced at US$1,529.99 in the US and CA$2,049.99 in Canada. Dell has not yet announced pricing or availability for other markets.
