The forthcoming AI-generated review summaries aim to provide users with a concise overview of app reviews, eliminating the need to sift through extensive feedback. By harnessing the power of AI, Microsoft intends to streamline the app research process and improve the overall customer experience. While a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, Microsoft has assured users that the feature will be introduced soon.

In addition to the review summaries, Microsoft announced the introduction of a dedicated section within the Microsoft Store called the AI Hub. This section aims to highlight the best AI-centric apps developed by the Microsoft community and external developers. Apps such as Luminar Neo, Descript, Podcastle, Kickresume, Play.ht, Copy.ai, and Tripnotes are among the featured applications in the AI Hub.

Microsoft is also introducing AI-generated keywords in the Partner Center, empowering developers to better showcase their apps to users. By leveraging AI technology, the Microsoft Store will enhance app discoverability, utilizing developers’ metadata and other relevant signals. Furthermore, users will now have the option to assign multiple categories to each app, providing developers with a valuable tool to reach a wider customer base.

To further support developers, Microsoft announced a change in its Store Ads policy, allowing them to display ads for their apps on Bing search. Previously, the apps featured in the spotlight section at the top of the Microsoft Store were chosen by the editorial team. The inclusion of ads in this section, which may feature videos, aims to drive increased traffic and discoverability for developers’ apps. This change will be implemented in conjunction with Microsoft’s plans to expand the Microsoft Store Ads program to more than 150 regions worldwide, enabling developers to reach a broader audience.
