A new report from GalaxyClub.nl reveals that Samsung has initiated software development for the European version of the Galaxy S23 Fan Edition. This development comes after a period of uncertainty and speculation regarding the existence of the Galaxy S23 FE. Recent reports have not only confirmed its existence but also unveiled some of its specifications. The initiation of firmware testing, as indicated in the new report, further strengthens the likelihood that Samsung will launch the device in the near future.

Samsung started testing the firmware for a device with model number SM-S711B, which is nothing but the European edition of the S23 FE. The publication claimed that it is yet to see any firmware for its US and South Korean variants.

Now that Samsung has just started testing the S23 FE’s firmware, it appears that there is still a considerable amount of time before it debuts in the market. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 firmwares have been undergoing testing since the previous year’s end. It is expected that these devices will be unveiled by the end of July. As far as the Galaxy S23 FE is concerned, it seems that it might not be unveiled until early 2024.
