On May 23, Motorola announced the Motorola Edge 40 in India as the country’s first phone powered by the Dimensity 8020 chipset. The device offers other key features, such as a 144Hz OLED display, 50-megapixel dual cameras, 68W charging, and more. Here is a look at the price, offers, and specifications of the device.
Motorola Edge 40 price in India
The Motorola Edge 40, which is priced at Rs 29,999 (~$363) in India, has been available for pre-orders since its launch. Buyers can opt for offers like Rs 2,000 (~$24) off on exchange and no-cost EMI for up to 6 months while purchasing the Edge 40.
The handset will be sold through Flipkart, the Motorola India website, and Reliance Digital. It comes in three colors: Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, and Lunar Blue, which come with an acrylic rear shell. The black and green variants have a leather back.
On Flipkart, there is an exclusive offer for those who pre-order the Edge 40. It brings a Screen Damage Protection Plan, which offers a one-time screen replacement worth Rs 9,500 (~$115). It is valid until 11:59am (local time) on May 30.

The Motorola Edge 40 has a 6.55-inch P-OLED curved-edge display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 13 OS. It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, it has an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens that also works as a macro snapper.
The Edge 40 is powered by the Dimensity 8020 chipset, 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and a 4,400mAh battery that offers 68W charging and 15W wireless charging. Its other features include 256 GB of internal storage, dual stereo speakers, support for Ready For feature, and an IP68-rated chassis.
