Motorola is set to unveil the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra flip phones today, June 1, catering to the global market. Prior to the official announcement, significant details regarding the flagship Razr 40 Ultra have already surfaced through various rumors, encompassing specifications, features, and pricing. On the other hand, limited information is available regarding the standard Razr 40, with only a few details emerging from its appearances in 3C certification and Geekbench. Just hours before the official unveiling, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore leaked full specifications and renders of the Razr 40.

As per the leak, the Motorola Razr 40 will measure 170.82 x 88.24 x 7.35mm in the unfolded state and weigh 188.6 grams. The device will have 170.82 x 73.95 x 15.8mm dimensions in the folded state. It houses a 6.9-inch foldable OLED panel like the Razr 40 Ultra. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, 413 ppi pixel density, 10-bit colors, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass 7.

The back panel of the Motorola Razr 40 will feature a smaller 1.47-inch cover screen. It will be an OLED panel that offers 194 x 368 pixels resolution. The cover display will be accompanied by a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS support and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, it will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Razr 40 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. As per the Geekbench listing of the device, it may feature 12 GB of RAM, which in turn suggests that it could be equipped with up to 256 GB of RAM. It will run on My UX-based Android 13.

The Razr 40 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and a 3,800mAh battery. The Razr 40 has a comparatively weaker chip and a bigger 4,200mAh battery. The vanilla model will support 30W wired charging and 5W wireless charging. It will be equipped with other features, such as a side-facing fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB-C port, and an IP52-rated chassis. The leaked renders released by the tipster show the device will be available in purple, green, and beige shades.
