Looking for a smartphone that can take a good beating and still stand strong? If yes, then you might want to check out the Nokia XR21. The rugged device was launched in the UK last month, and now it has made its way to the US. It is built strong and brings an IP69K rating, Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the display, and MIL-STD-810H certification. Let’s check out the details.

Nokia XR21 is built to last

The Nokia XR21 is HMD global’s latest rugged smartphone and the company calls it indestructible. While that’s a bold claim, the device does come with MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability and is IP68-rated waterproof. It also bags IP69K-certification against dust, water, and drop resistance. The smartphone gets a Gorilla Glass Victus-protected LCD display that measures 6.49 inches.

The panel bears an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 550 nits peak brightness, and is compatible with wet hands and gloves. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and two programmable buttons. The smartphone uses a 100 percent recycled aluminum chassis and tough materials.

The Nokia XR21 features a dual rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a LED flash unit. For selfies, you get a 16MP shooter. It comes powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Fueled by a 4,800mAh battery unit, the handset supports 33W fast charging. It runs Android 12 OS out of the box and is promised to get three years of OS and four years of security updates

Further, the device gets extra-loud stereo speakers, a 3.5mm jack, a USB-C port, NavIC, 5G, WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.1. Nokia XR21 will be available on the Nokia US website in Midnight Black, costing $500. As part of the launch offer, Nokia is giving in a free pair of noise-canceling earbuds.
