AMD might be working on a new budget CPU under the Ryzen 5 series. The alleged Ryzen 5 5600X3D, based on the Zen 3 architecture, has been spotted online. It comes with a special 3D V-cache technology and has 6 cores and 12 threads. The processor has a base clock speed of 4.4 GHz and a boost clock speed of 3.3 GHz. The new CPU could offer powerful performance with an affordable price tag, similar to Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D Specifications

Twitter user chi11eddog has shared an image comparing the specs of the rumored Ryzen 5 5600X3D with the 5800X3D. The CPU is expected to feature six cores and twelve threads, with each core having 512KB of L2 cache, totaling 3MB. It will have 32MB of planar cache and 64MB of stacked 3D cache. The CPU should have a base clock of 3.3GHz and a boost clock of 4.4GHz.

To compare, the 5800X3D offers eight cores, sixteen threads, and 4MB of L2 cache. It operates at a base clock speed of 3.4GHz and a boost clock speed of 3.5GHz. Both the Ryzen 5 5600X3D and the 5800X3D have a thermal design power (TDP) of 65W.

The Ryzen 5 5600X3D could be a tempting option in the budget segment. It could deliver approximately 85% of the gaming performance of the 5800X3D while consuming only around 50W of power (Via Hardware Times). Currently, there is no news regarding the launch date of this upcoming CPU. However, considering that all the specifications for the CPU appear to be confirmed, it is highly likely that the 5600X3D will be released in the near future.
