Last year, OPPO launched a new generation of its smartwatch — OPPO Watch 3. A few weeks back, the company announced a new Blue color option for the wearable device, along with two new strap options.

Today, the Blue-colored OPPO Watch 3 officially goes on sale in the Chinese market for the price of 1,499 yuan which roughly converts to $210.

The company describes the new addition to the wearable lineup as something designed for summer and adds that it brings “a touch of coolness to the sweltering summer.”

As for the specifications, the OPPO Watch 3 features a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen with a 430 x 372 pixels screen resolution and 326 PPI pixel density. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 32GB storage.

There’s also the company’s in-house developed Apollo 4 Plus chip. Coming to the software, the smartwatch dual-boots ColorOS Watch based on Wear OS and RTOS. It offers LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and NFC, along with sensors like an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, optical heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, ambient light sensor, and altimeter.

The device is powered by a 400mAh battery which the company claims can offer up to four days of usage on a single charge, but using LTE mode reduces the battery life by a day. However, in the RTOS mode, the smartwatch is claimed to last for up to 14 days on a single charge.
