Samsung Galaxy S23 series is now receiving a significant update. All three devices including, the standard, plus, and ultra models are getting the major update. The South Korean brand is usually quick to roll out updates but this month’s June update was delayed even though other Galaxy devices received it. The update for the Galaxy S23 series brings various improvements and bug fixes. Read on to know more below. 

Samsung Galaxy S23 series get a significant June update

The June update for the Galaxy S23 series is currently rolling out in South East Asian countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It is expected to arrive in various other regions. The update has firmware version  S91xBXXU2AWF1. It has a large 2.2GB file size. The update also brings a June security patch. It’s worth noting that the updated build number will vary depending on the region. 

Users who have a Galaxy S23 series device can head to Settings > Software Update > Tap Download and Install if it is available. 

A Twitter user has shared a changelog of what the June 2023 update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series brings. It includes significant improvements to the camera including a 2x zoom option in the camera’s portrait mode, resolved autofocus and HDR performance issues, and an overhauled night mode processing. Additionally, the haptics are also improved along with smoother UI animations and transitions and system stability. 

Recently, Samsung started rolling out the June 2023 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 that brings fixes for over 60 security flaws found in Android phones and tablets.
