The iQOO Neo 7 Pro is set to be the latest addition to the Neo 7 series. The smartphone is scheduled to debut in India on July 4 and is rumored to be a rebrand of the Neo 7 Racing Edition, which is exclusive to China. iQOO has been teasing the smartphone’s features, including a premium leather back and a sleek design. In the latest development, the Vivo subsidiary has confirmed the presence of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC on the device, as well as 120W fast charging support.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro should let you do lag-free gaming

iQOO Neo 7 Pro is expected to debut as a premium mid-range smartphone, priced under Rs. 40,000 in India. This is further evident by the presence of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip powering the device. As a reminder, this chipset belongs to an older generation, preceding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, it has become a popular choice in the mid-range segment, with many phones, including the upcoming Nothing Phone 2, utilizing it.

Although an older chip, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 provides you with enough firepower to game for longer periods without experiencing stutters during daily usage. The chip even achieves favorable benchmarking scores. A recent leak revealed a score of 1,316,514 in AnTuTu, which is quite impressive. Its thermals appear to be stable, with the CPU temperature maxing out at 38.2°C during stress testing.

iQOO has also packed particularly fast 120W charging support in the device. Phones nowadays boast over 200W charging (looking at the Realme GT 3), but 120W is still good enough for most users. iQOO says the Neo 7 Pro’s battery can be charged up to 50% within just 8 minutes.
