iQOO has scheduled a big launch event in China on July 4. The event will see the launch of iQOO 11S, the company’s latest flagship smartphone with powerful specifications. It will share the stage with iQOO TWS 1 and the brand’s India wing will also unveil the iQOO Neo 7 Pro on the same day. While we wait for the launch, a tipster has shared some interesting details about iQOO 11S’ processor and cooling.

No Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 in sight

Tipster Digital Chat Station claims on Weibo that the iQOO 11S will continue to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC clocked at 3.2GHz, rather than opting for the overclocked 3.36GHz version. This comes as no surprise, as both the iQOO 11 and 11 Pro also employ the same processor with identical clock speeds. Additionally, DCS has confirmed that the handset will feature VC cooling. However, reports have claimed the iQOO 11S will get the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 under the hood.

The iQOO 11S is said to get a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED Quad HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It could also get a dedicated display chip for enhanced graphics and gaming. The device will pack a 4,700mAh battery inside a metal frame. It is expected to come with a maximum of 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. On the software front, it will likely run on the OriginOS 3.0-based Android 13 out of the box.

For photography, it is expected to get a 16MP front-facing camera, while the rear may boast a three-camera unit, headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX866V main sensor. It is reported to support 200W fast charging.
