Last month, the Redmi A2 series smartphones were launched in India. The brand has now made both the A2 and A2+ devices available in a 2GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. These new variants cost Rs 6,799 and Rs 8,499 respectively and are available to purchase on Amazon India. Check out the specs and features below.
Redmi A2 series specs
The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ come with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The screen features slim bezels and a small waterdrop notch for the front-facing camera. With a refresh rate of 60Hz, the display provides smooth visuals.
Both phones have an elegant faux leather finish on the back, available in Sea Green, Aqua Blue, and Classic Black color options. They offer a scratch-resistant display and a splash-resistant body, enhancing durability.
Dual SIM support and a dedicated microSD card slot are notable features of both phones. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, they deliver reliable performance. The devices provide up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, ensuring sufficient space for apps, media, and files.
The rear side features a dual-camera setup, consisting of an 8MP primary camera and a QVGA lens. For selfies, the A2 series is equipped with a 5MP front camera.
A robust 5000mAh battery powers the devices, offering ample battery life. Charging is supported at 10W, and connectivity options include a micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phones offer up to 3GB of virtual RAM support, providing a smooth user experience. Additionally, users can enjoy a stock Android 13 experience and access an FM radio app.
