Catering to privacy-conscious individuals, Fairphone has partnered with Murena, a company specializing in “de-Googling” Android phones, to bring the Fairphone 4 to the US market. Instead of the usual Android OS, the device comes preloaded with Murena’s /e/OS, which emphasizes privacy and excludes Google services. /e/OS is designed to address concerns about data sharing with the search giant, offering a privacy-focused alternative. It features its own app store and Murena Cloud apps for essential functions like email, calendar, and cloud storage.
