Harman Kardon has announced three new Bluetooth speakers to commemorate 70 years of its existence. The business entity kickstarted by Dr. Sidney Harriman and Bernard Kardon has blossomed remarkably over the past seven decades. The three new products are the Aurora Studio 4 Bluetooth speaker, the Go+Play 3 speaker, and the Harman Luna portable Bluetooth speaker.
Harman Kardon Aurora Studio 4 Bluetooth speaker
The Aurora Studio lineup is a striking piece of industrial design and a comprehensively specified speaker. The Aurora Studio 4 is produced from recycled materials, which is the first Harman Kardon product with such credentials. The speaker features a downward-firing 132mm bass driver which combines with a 6-driver array. This delivers, what Harman Kardon claims is spacious and precise sound. You can view up to 324 individual crystals at the base which creates a colorful light display in sync with the music.
Harman Kardon Go+Play 3 speaker
The Go+Play 3 is a Bluetooth speaker with a standard design and comes with a semi-circular silhouette. It is constructed from aluminum and textile materials, and its tempered-glass top panel features touch controls. The Go+Play 3 has three-way stereo drivers. This includes an exposed, down-firing bass driver. It has a battery life of up to 8 hours and this is quite underwhelming. The Go+Play can automatically calibrate itself to its surroundings for optimal performance always. The sound outlook of the Go+Play 3 can be expanded by pairing two units together.
Harman Kardon Luna portable Bluetooth speaker
The Harman Luna portable Bluetooth speaker comes with a more compact design than the Go+Play and Aurora Studio 4. Its compact design however belies its power as it is among the best Bluetooth speakers in the market. It offers 12 hours of battery life and an IP67 water and dust-resistant rating. Two units of the speaker can be paired to deliver true stereo sound.
Pricing & Availability
The Harman Kardon Aurora Studio is projected as a mid-range sound product and could be priced around $360. The Go+Play 3 speaker is expected to retail for around $380 while the Harman Luna could come with a $195 price tag. The three new Harman Kardon products will go on sale on September 15.
