Vivo is apparently planning on launching a new lineup of smartphones from its V series soon. The lineup will consist of the V29, V29e, and V29 Pro models. But prior to an official announcement, the V29 Pro model was spotted on an Indian certification platform, hinting at its imminent launch.

The series’ higher-end Vivo V29 Pro recently surfaced on the BIS certification database (Bureau of Indian Standards). In the database, the device was spotted carrying the V2251 model number. But unfortunately, the certification listing does not reveal any key information regarding the device like its specifications or pricing. Although, it does hint that the V29 Pro’s launch could be right around the corner in India.

Based on what we know so far, the Vivo V29 Pro is expected to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. This processor will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM, as per a GeekBench listing. Furthermore, the benchmarking platform also revealed that the handset will run on Android 13 OS out of the box, with the Funtouch OS 13.1 custom skin on top of it.

Earlier today (24th July 2023), we reported on the V29 Pro’s design being officially revealed as well. The smartphone will carry a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the rear and a 50-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Meanwhile, the front is rumored to sport a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. Reports have also hinted at the V29 Pro being a rebranded Vivo S17 Pro. However, this is still unconfirmed so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
