The launch timeline of the highly anticipated successor to the Nintendo Switch might have been revealed. A new financial report from a Chinese media site has hinted at a 2024 launch for the Switch 2.
Nintendo Switch 2 is hinted to launch in 2024 again
Earlier this month, we reported on the Switch 2’s launch being months away based on documents from the Microsoft and FTS case. Now, a financial report from another source has also hinted at a 2024 launch timeline. The report arrives from one of Nintendo’s partners, PixArt Imaging, who stated that the Japanese gaming giant’s next-gen console will be launching early next year. If this report is accurate, then it is probably the most reliable news regarding the Switch 2’s launch as it comes from the “supply chain”.
While the financial report did not directly mention Switch 2, it stated that the “Japanese game machine will be launched early next year, which has been absent for many years”. Since they specifically mention a Japanese game machine, it might even be referring to the Project Q handheld console from Sony.
For those unaware, PixArt has previously worked with Nintendo for the Wii and even the first Switch handheld console. So it won’t be surprising that the gaming company will work with its partner which has proven to be reliable. But keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.
