Lenovo launched many new laptops in China last week but almost none of them made it to the global market. Today, the company finally launched a new notebook, dubbed Legion Slim 5, outside China with powerful specifications. This machine comes equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor and supports 140W fast charging. It gets a 14-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Here are more details.

Lenovo Legion Slim 5

The new Lenovo Legion Slim 5 debuts with a sturdy build, weighing 1.9 kg. The 14-inch laptop is not big enough for a number pad and measures 21 mm thick. It looks similar to the Legion R9000X 2023, which debuted recently in China with Ryzen 7 7840H.

Lenovo has packed the Legion Slim 5 with an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 with a performance release of 105 W. The laptop comes with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X-6400 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.

As mentioned, it comes with a 14-inch OLED panel with a 2,880 x 1,800-pixel resolution. The display can reach a peak brightness of 400 nits and offer a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 also gets a 73.6 Wh battery with support for 140W fast charging. The laptop can apparently be charged from 0% to 70% in just 30 minutes.

Talking about the connectivity ports, the Legion Slim 5 14 has two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, an SD card reader, and a HDMI 2.1 port.

Notebookcheck says Lenovo expects to start selling the Legion Slim 5 14-inch gaming laptop next month. We don’t have an official confirmation from Lenovo but the publication says the laptop will start at $1,439.99 in the US.
